Financial Advisor — Paphos, Cyprus

James & Partners Talent is recruiting a Financial Advisor to join an established international wealth management business in Paphos.
The firm advises British nationals and expatriate families on investments, retirement planning, pensions, tax and estate planning. Its Paphos office supports clients across the Republic of Cyprus, creating an opportunity to develop relationships within an established expatriate market.
This is a commercially focused advisory position. You will work with existing client relationships and company-generated enquiries while building new business through referrals, professional connections and consistent follow-up.
The role
Attract and advise new clients through marketing enquiries, central lead-generation activity and referral relationships.
Develop a clear understanding of each client’s financial position, objectives, investment experience and attitude to risk.
Deliver financial plans covering investment portfolios, retirement income, pensions and longer-term family objectives.
Work with specialist colleagues on the interaction between clients’ UK financial arrangements and their circumstances in Cyprus.
Maintain regular contact with existing clients and identify appropriate additional investment opportunities.
Explain recommendations clearly and guide clients through implementation.
Manage your pipeline, client records and outstanding actions accurately.
Build local professional relationships and contribute to the development of the Cyprus business.
Your background
A minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or Regulated Financial Planning.
Level 6 qualifications or Chartered status would be advantageous.
A successful background in regulated financial advice, wealth management or a comparable private-client role.
Evidence of winning new clients and growing relationships through referrals and additional business.
Strong investment, pension and financial-planning knowledge.
The ability to communicate complex matters clearly and build confidence with clients.
Experience with UK private clients; international or expatriate advisory experience would be valuable.
A disciplined approach to suitability, record keeping and client service.
Location and support
The position is based in Paphos, with client activity potentially extending into other parts of the Republic of Cyprus. The office serves clients in areas including Limassol, Larnaca and Nicosia, so flexibility for client meetings is important.
You will be supported by administration, paraplanning, marketing and specialist pension, investment and tax resources, alongside structured induction and ongoing training. A transferable client book is not required.
The role combines regular office contact with client visits and home working where appropriate. It is not fully remote.
