Public Law (Care) Solicitor - Hull

This firm specialises in providing comprehensive legal services, and currently seeking a qualified and experienced Public Law (Care) Solicitor to join their team.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with at least 2 years of post-qualified experience (PQE), although those with less experience may be considered based on their skills. They will have a strong understanding of the Children’s Act, particularly its public law aspects, and membership in the children panel is preferred, or a commitment to achieving this. A competent advocate in the Magistrates and County Court, the candidate should also have experience managing their own caseload with oversight. A team player, they will be willing to support colleagues as needed.

•    Location: Hull
•    Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 DOE
•    Hours: Monday to Friday with no weekend work

Key responsibilities of the role will include: 
•    Handle public law (care) cases, with a focus on matters related to the Children’s Act.
•    Provide legal advice and representation to clients in Magistrates and County Court.
•    Act as an advocate in court proceedings, demonstrating competence and expertise.
•    Manage and oversee your own caseload, ensuring effective case management.
•    Collaborate with other professionals within the firm, covering work for colleagues when necessary.
