Salary €150,000 Salaried role with uncapped commission
James & Partners Talent is working with an established international tax and wealth management firm to recruit a Financial Adviser based in Malta.
This opportunity would suit an experienced adviser who combines strong financial planning knowledge with the ability to win new clients and build lasting relationships. You should have experience advising retail, affluent and high net worth individuals, typically with net worth of approximately €300,000 to €5 million.
A completed Level 6 financial planning qualification is essential.
The opportunity
You will advise private clients, particularly British expatriates, on their financial planning needs, working alongside specialists in investments, pensions, tax and estate planning.
The business provides a basic salary, an initial allocation of existing clients and enquiries generated through its marketing and central enquiry teams. You will use these relationships and opportunities to develop referrals, attract additional investments and win new business.
Bringing a transferable client book is not a requirement.
Your responsibilities
Convert qualified enquiries into new client relationships.
Understand clients’ circumstances, objectives and attitude to investment risk.
Deliver clear financial planning recommendations with support from technical specialists.
Review existing relationships and identify suitable opportunities for additional investment and referrals.
Develop your own network and new business pipeline.
Maintain high standards of advice, documentation and client service.
What we are looking for
A completed Level 6 financial planning qualification, such as the CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning or an equivalent qualification accepted for the role.
Demonstrable experience advising clients with net worth of approximately €300,000 to €5 million.
Strong knowledge of investments, pensions and retirement planning, with an understanding of the relevance of tax and estate planning.
A proven ability to convert enquiries, generate referrals and win new clients.
The confidence to manage client relationships independently within an established advisory business.
Based in Malta or willing to relocate.
Chartered Financial Planner status and experience advising British expatriates would be advantageous.
