Assistant Treasury Manager

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days WFH)

Salary: £38,000 – £42,000

My client, one of London’s largest property services groups, is seeking an Assistant Treasury Manager to join their established finance team. The business delivers a broad range of services spanning sales, lettings, block management, surveying, and financial solutions, with a reputation for integrity and excellent client service.

This role offers the chance to step into a pivotal position, supporting the Treasury Manager and acting as deputy when required, while overseeing a team of three treasury consultants.

The Role
The Assistant Treasury Manager will play a critical role in ensuring client bank accounts are reconciled in line with ARMA requirements, maintaining high-volume transaction accuracy, and providing leadership within the treasury team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Downloading and reconciling bank statements, receipts, and payments accounts
  • Processing debit card and web portal transactions
  • Overseeing leaseholder direct debit collections and resolving related queries
  • Supporting payment runs and supplier invoice processing
  • Monitoring suspense accounts and producing breach referral lists
  • Completing monthly reconciliations and managing bulk DD imports
  • Handling internal and external finance queries via phone and email
  • Acting as proxy for the Treasury Manager, delegating and guiding junior consultants

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and strong leadership skills, thriving in a high-volume, detail-focused environment.

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • AAT qualified (or actively studying towards Level 4)
  • Experience handling large volumes of accounts/transactions (c.500 accounts)
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, hands-on approach
  • Clear and confident communication skills across multiple channels
  • Ability to delegate tasks and provide clear guidance to junior colleagues
  • IT proficiency, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and property management software
  • Team-oriented mindset and a positive approach to problem-solving

Working Pattern
  • Full-time, permanent
  • Monday–Thursday: 9:00am–5:30pm
  • Friday: 9:00am–5:00pm
  • First 6 weeks fully office-based (with flexibility to move hybrid earlier if training progresses quickly)
